carbine rifle manufactured in 1879, 5th Cavalry range. Carbine remains in good condition, the metal with a silver to gray patina. Tacked wood stock shows typical dings and dents, stamped with several age cracks, the large tack at top of butt marked HB (Hudson Bay). Rifle was found on Pine Ridge Indian reservation in South Dakota with good working action and good bore. No FFL required.
