US Model 1860 Naval Cutlass with leather scabbard and frog, and full markings. The left side of the ricasso shows USN, DR and 1864, along with naval anchor, large “P” proof, and large “GG” (Same inspector whoinspected many Navy Colts). Left side of ricasso shows good Ames stamp, blade very good with some dried oil patina, staining, but its full dimensions and good original polish and edge. The hilt was buffed andlacquered at one time and now shows some scratching, losses, grip is just good showing leather over wood. The original brass rivetless scabbard is good with some cracking. The original leather hanger isretained. An exceptionally well-marked and fully inspected Naval Cutlass. Est: $700 - $1,400
