US Model 1860 Naval Cutlass by N.P. Ames. Blade shows old plating over pits. US markings, DR inspection, 1862 date and lightly visible Ames address. The blade shows pitting toward the forward 7” which has been plated over. The guard shows a good patina and is marked 4D over the numeral 3. The leather over wood grip shows some tatters and losses, about 60% leather. The riveted leather scabbard is included and is in fair to good condition showing a repair from being ripped at the center. Some small losses and normal erosion. Est: $350 - $700
