UNPUBLISHED CDV OF TAD LINCOLN (?) Cdv with imprint of H. Manger's Gallery, Philadelphia, showing well-dressed gentleman with a boy we believe to be Tad Lincoln on his knee. An old penciled notation on verso reads: "Oct 16th, 1863. Mrs. Pomeroy Gave Me Mr. Sweeney and Teddy [sic] Lincoln." We have no other information about Sweeney or Pomeroy. This image could be the sleeper of the auction; please note, while we cannot guarantee this to be Tad, we do believe there is a strong likelihood. Bid with your eyes and mind open!
