UNITED STATES, Philadelphia, Continental Congress, $8, September 26, 1778, serial 272495, PMG Choice XF 45 EPQ, with PLUS Fricke sticker. Fr-CC-81. Very choice for the grade, a $8 Continental note with very nice eye appeal, boldly printed with good centering and a few speckles of mica across the face (an early American bank note anti-counterfeiting measure), the ink signatures and serial quite legible. The harp vignette bears the Latin motto MAJORA MINORIBUS CONSONANT ("The larger and smaller are in harmony").
