Very Rare, 2.2 gms. RAISED Hudson Bay Co. cypher within a Garter, Pro.Pelle.Cutem within the garter , topped with a seated fox looking left. Grades Very Fine as everything is legible but appears not to have been plated. The obverse has a die break and a cud between 5 and 6 O'clock, and the die may have been rusted as there are several dots left of the fox's nose. The First two letters of CUTEM are recut and larger than last 3 letters. The reverse is completely different from the first two buttons. The shank is mounted on a dome of metal, the left leg of the shank has pulled loose of the mount but the right leg is solid. The Shank is bent to a 90 degree angle and the writer would strongly suggest it not be leveled. It appears there was no plating on the reverse and all the lettering is clear.
