Scarce desirable model w/ sandblast blued finish. All correct features including: Type 9 Keyes Fibre reinforced brown plastic grips w/out grip screw rings. “P” proofed on frame & slide along w/ “R.C.D.” inspector mark. Coarse checkered (27 diamonds not 32) arched mainspring housing. Checkered thumb safety & slide stop w/out undercuts. Type 18 High Standard bbl. w/ blued finish. MAGS: 1 good blued 7 rd. w/ spots of medium oxidation; blue w/ matte finished base having “COLT / 45AUTO”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: U.S. web belt w/ cast alloy buckle, steel keepers & painted brass end hook. Belt holds 1959 dated first aid pouch w/ brown boxed kit inside. 1942 dated canvas double mag. pouch w/ 2 blued 7 rd. mags; fair Ridson w/ cleaned oxidation & good Scovill w/ scattered spots of oxidation. 1942 Boyt flap holster w/ braided leather tie down; numerous scuffs & marks on basically good holster. CONDITION: good plus general appearance w/ noticeable area of cleaned oxidation slightly about midpoint of slide at left & more pronounced on front half of slide at top. Light to moderate oxidation on front strap. Light holster like high point wear plus bright spot at midpoint of S#. Noticeable mark from improper slide stop installation extending into relief cut. Very good grips & worn screws. Good bbl. exterior finish w/ very good bore having slight traces of frosting. (21-316/NW). CURIO. $3,000-4,000.
