Miles </span></b><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Arial; color:windowtext'>(1839-1925) adding “<i>Lieutenant General Comdg U.S. Army</i>,” who served at Fredericksburg, Antietam and Chancellorsville, receiving several wounds, later prominent in the Indian Wars. Plus a clipped signature, 6"x2", by Union Admiral </span><b><span style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:windowtext; text-transform:uppercase'>David D. Porter</span></b><span style='font-size: 12.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:windowtext'> (1813-1891) who received the surrenders of Forts Jackson and St. Philip and was indispensable in the siege and subsequent Union victory at Vicksburg, later superintendent of US Naval Academy (1865-69). Boldly penned, adding “<i>Admiral</i>.” Overall VG.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.

sales tax of 6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA a

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within seven day
providing that it comes back in the same condition. There is a

expert authenticators acceptable to both parties.
15. The placing of a bid shall constitute acceptance of the
preceding terms and conditions of sale.
