Penned just four days after Shiloh to A. Sinclair Flaudran. In full: “<i>Yours of the 25th of March enquiring </i>[sic]<i> for the address of Capt. Edgar is just received. Capt. Edgar is not now serving within the Military District commanded by me. I do not know his address nor anyone who does</i>...” Boldly penned and signed, adding rank as “<i>Maj. Gen</i>.” Laid to slightly larger paper sheet. Engraved oval bust portrait in uniform affixed at bottom blank margin. Small fold separations at margins with no paper loss; minor wrinkles of negligible effect to signature, o/w VG.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within seven day
providing that it comes back in the same condition. There is a

expert authenticators acceptable to both parties.
15. The placing of a bid shall constitute acceptance of the
