Medal from the 1996 Union of European Football Associations Cup won by french soccer legend Jean-Pierre Papin. A prolific striker, Papin scored the most goals in the french league for five years in a row from 1988 to 1992. The French term ''Papinade'' came about as a way to describe Papin's powerful volley shots, and is still used to describe those types of shots today. Medal features the three-player logo, name of the tournament and year ''96'' on one side, and a larger version of the three-player logo on reverse. Medal suspends from a red, blue and yellow ribbon. Measures 2'' in diameter. Weighs 2 ounces, or 59 grams. Near fine. Obtained directly from Jean-Pierre Papin and with his LOA.
