U.S. World War I Colt Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol, Augusta Arsenal Rework with a Remington-UMC Slide

Manufactured in 1918, this pistol subsequently passed through Augusta Arsenal and now wears a Remington-UMC slide and a number of "A1" configuration parts. Fixed sights, with the 3-line, 2-block address and patent dates flanking the "REMINGTON/UMC" logo on the left side of the slide, the 2-line Army nomenclature on the right, and the "A A" Augusta stamp and "eagle head/S17" on the left side of the frame. Fitted with a wide checkered hammer, short stamped trigger, long beavertail safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, checkered grips, "R" stamped magazine and a High Standard barrel.

Very fine as arsenal rebuilt/refinished, showing 99% of the parkerization, with light pitting visible beneath the surface, bright edge wear and scattered scratches and handling marks. Grips are very good, with a few mild dents. Mechanically excellent.
