U.S. Winchester M1 Garand Semi-Automatic Rifle with Bayonet and Sling
Produced in January of 1944. Blade front and adjustable peep rear sights with "DRC" windage drum. Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer and operating rod. A faint "P" proof stamp is visible on the barrel which has been welded into position that suggests it was an originally a ceremonial rifle. Smooth pistol grip stock with a double stamped "P" behind the trigger, faint Department of Defense cartouche on the left side, "AA/ 63881" on the right side of the buttstock, green canvas sling and a checkered buttplate containing a cleaning rod, handle/ multitool and grease container. With a U.S. "UC" brand knife bayonet, 9 3/4" single fuller blade with ribbed grips.

Condition: Very good as refinished, with 80% of the current mixed colors. The barrel shows a mixed gray and green coloration, with a gray gas cylinder lock, black gas cylinder and a deep parkerized green on the receiver, bolt and operating rod, with some dings and handling marks overall. The stock is good, with mild pressure dents and slightly uneven varnish. Bayonet is good as cleaned, with some pitting and dents. Mechanically excellent.
