U.S. WWII Remington-Rand Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Holster
This is a mid-war production M1911A1 pistol as manufactured by the Remington-Rand company in 1943. The left side of the slide is marked "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." along with a "P" proof on top in front of the rear sight. The right side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number, and in front of the slide stop hole it is marked "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" and the left side is marked with "FJA" proof of Lt. Col. Frank Atwood with a "P" proof by the magazine release button. Crossed cannon proof on the right rear of the frame. The hammer is the later narrow version with the later long horn grip safety. Fitted with brown plastic checkered Keyes Fiber grips. Complete with one unmarked blue magazine and a brown leather Boyt "US" marked flap holster, marked BOYT / 42" on the back.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 90% plus of the original Du-Lite finish with some thinning and high edge wear on the slide and thinning on the frontstrap. The grips are excellent with a few very tiny dings and sharp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good.
