U.S. Starr Civil War Model 1858 Double Action Percussion Revolver
Manufactured in the late 1850s and early 1860s, most going to fulfill a government contract. Standard "STARR. ARMS. Co. NEW. YORK." address on left side of frame, "STARRS PATENT JAN. 15, 1856." on the right. Blade front and hammer notch rear sights, with the standard quick-release thumbscrew on the frame and double action trigger with moving block. Matching numbers on the barrel lug, frame, hammer and cylinder, with "CR", "B" and "K" inspection marks and a set of "ABB" and "EPL" cartouches on the smooth one piece grip.

Condition: Very good, with 40% of the original blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina overall, with original blue strongest on the frame and in the protected areas. Grip is very good as used as a hammer, with dings and dents concentrated on the butt. Some internal components are absent. Hammer functions but does not rotate cylinder.
