U.S. Springfield trapdoor rifle, top of trapdoor marked 1870 with eagle head over crossed arrows above US, .50 cal., 32-1/2” barrel, full wood stock, iron cleaning rod, leather sling marked “S. STORRS, MAKER, N.YORK CITY”, #44270. This gun is in overall very good to fine condition with bright barrel, muted blue receiver and silvery toned trapdoor, lockplate and hammer with traces of original case colors; fine bore, crispaction, sharp markings, fine wood stock with 4 separate inspector’s cartouches on the left side of the stock opposite the lockplate; sling is overall very good; one of the best we’ve seen in some time. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
