U.S. Springfield Trapdoor rifle, Model 1884, .45-70 cal., 32-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stock, iron ramrod, #469730 in overall very good + un-cleaned condition showing considerable original finish, very good bore, crisp action, sharp markings, un-usual hooded front sight, very good wood with fine circle P proof and crisp SWP/1889 cartouche on left side of stock above trigger. A careful cleaning and oiling of this gun should improve it considerably. Est.: $400-$800.
