U.S. Springfield Trapdoor rifle, .45-70 cal., 32-3/4” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stock, leather sling, #177750. This gun is in overall near fine condition showing the majority of its military bluefinish and vivid case colors to the trapdoor; the bore is very good to fine, the markings are crisp, the wood is very good with some scattered old mars and scratches; the circle P proof behind the trigger guard is crisp asis the SWP 1881 inspector’s cartouche on the left side of the stock above the trigger; the correct ramrod is retained and the leather sling is overall good.
