Carbine Configuration with high blade pinned front and 1884 Buffington rear sights. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the "V/P/eagle head/P" inspection marks, with the letter "A" on top, "U.S./MODEL/1884" marked breechblock and standard markings on the lock plate. Two-piece trigger guard, serrated trigger, three click tumbler and mounted with a one-piece straight grip half stock with saddle ring and bar mounted on the left side, and carbine buttplate with compartment, (cleaning rod not included).

Condition: Fair. Period refinished and assembled with a smooth gray patina on the barrel and a darker smooth patina on the remaining metal surfaces. The stock has been lightly sanded and remains good with a small shallow gouge on the left wrist and overall some scattered minor dings and dents. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
