U.S. Springfield Model 1898 Krag bolt-action military rifle, .30-40 Krag cal., 30” round barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stock, sling swivels with tan woven sling, bayonet lug, #187165 with bayonet, metalscabbard and metal hanger. This rifle is in overall very good to fine condition showing approx. 25% original blue in protected areas of the barrel with balance gone to a plum/brown patina; approx. 35% muted casecolors on the receiver, sharp markings, very good to fine bore, crisp action, very good + wood with traces of inspector’s cartouche on the left side of the butt stock above the trigger guard; bayonet is dated 1902 and invery good to fine condition, scabbard is very good with scattered spots of erosion; fine scabbard hanger and fine sling; a really nice original military Krag rifle and getting harder to find since the Krag was a popularmodel to sporterize and many were so altered in the early-to-mid 1900’s. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
