U.S. Springfield Model 1877 Trapdoor carbine, .45-70 cal., 22” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stock, #88049. This gun is in overall very good condition showing an even plum brown patina on metal surfaceswith strong case colors on the underside of the “trapdoor” and within the interior of the receiver and traces of case color on the lock plate; fair bore, good markings, crisp action, very good wood stock with 2 visibleoval inspector cartouches on the left side of the stock and an “x” stamped behind the rear tang of the trigger guard.
