U.S. Springfield Model 1873 trapdoor carbine, 45-70 cal., 22” round barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stock, #221495. This gun is in overall good condition showing a dark patina on the barrel, traces of silvery case on the receiver, trapdoor and hammer with balance gone to dark patina; fair + bore, crisp action, good markings except wear to the “Springfield” on the lock plate; saddle ring and bar retained; wood stock is overall good with clear circle P proof behind trigger guard rear tang and “SWP 1887” on the left side of the butt stock above the trigger assembly.
