Brass blade front sight, with a square bayonet lug on the muzzle, "1832" on the tang, and "C/O" and "88" atop the breech. "Eagle/US" lock plate, with the flash pan cut down and filled, and "SPRING/FIELD/1832" vertically behind the hammer. Smooth straight wrist stock, with "EH" on the trigger guard finial, two oval cartouches opposite the lock, and a "US" marked buttplate.

Condition: Very good as period converted to percussion, showing a fine bright metal appearance overall, with a mild amount of pitting at the muzzle and around the nipple, some denting of the tang and barrel bands, and scattered handling marks. Stock is good as cleaned, with some chips around the tang and ramrod cut, scratched markings on the left side of the forearm, and scattered dents. Mechanically very good.
