Produced in March of 1942, this rifle bears markings which suggest that it was provided to Great Britain as part of the Lend Lease program. Standard sights, with Battle Range drum and locking bar. The barrel is marked with an inverted "SA 3-42" over the Birmingham proof, tonnage and caliber marks. Fitted with a Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer, trigger and operating rod, with "Z" marked trigger guard. Smooth stock, with "P" on the trigger guard, "S.A./ G.H.S." cartouche next to the Ordnance crossed cannon stamp on the left, and a brown leather sling.

Condition: Excellent, with 98% of the original parkerized finish, showing a fine green color overall with mild edge wear and handling marks. Stock is very good, with a chip absent from the underside near the sling swivel and light scratches and dents overall. Mechanically excellent.
