The receiver was originally produced in July 1943, then upgraded the match grade standards and presented to winners of Naval shooting matches as Secretary of the Navy Trophy Rifles. Standard sights with "WCE" adjustment drums, Springfield 7.62mm barrel dated "3 66", Springfield bolt hand numbered "83", hammer, trigger housing. Floor plate numbered to match. Fitted with a National Match operating rod. Smooth glass bedded stock with a faint Ordnance stamp and boxed cartouche on the left side, "B/ 199" stamped on the pistol grip, and a checkered buttplate. With shipping box and CMP papers identifying this as a Secretary of the Navy Trophy Rifle, Mark II Mod. 1, issued 1998.

Condition: Very good as arsenal rebuilt/upgraded, with 98% of the arsenal parkerized finish, showing a few brown and gray patches on the barrel and gas tube, pitting on the latter, and mild handling marks overall. Stock is very good, with some dings and varnish loss. Mechanically excellent.
