U.S. Springfield M1 Garand National Match Semi-Automatic Rifle

Post World War II production, with "NM/062" front sight and "NM/595" rear sight with "NM" windage drum, "NM" gas cylinder, and a Springfield "8 54" barrel with "P" and "T" stamps on the chamber and "NM" on the front left side. Fitted with a Springfield bolt, trigger group housing and operating rod, Harrington & Richardson hammer, and an "MXR" marked safety. The trigger housing and stock have been hand numbered with white paint to match the receiver. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a Defense cartouche on the left, "P" in a circle on the right, and a checkered steel buttplate. With a letter from a previous owner, attributing this serial number to a DCM shipped National Match M1 Rifle and attributing the rifle to retired U.S.A.F. Lieutenant General John Colarusso.
