U.S.S. Shenandoah (ZR-1) Gas Bag Fragment (1x1.5") The Shenandoah, the first American-built rigid airship was serving a training ship and a flying laboratory when it suffered structural failure during a thunderstorm over southern Ohio in 1925 while enroute from Lakehurst to St. Paul. This fragment was found and recovered by Mike Ducar, when walking across a field near the crash site. A copy of a notarized certificate of authenticity from Mike Ducar is attached to the reverse. The fragment has been professionally matted and framed (16x18") along with a black and white photo of the airship (9x6.5") and descriptive text. Striking and rare. FLOWN
