U.S. Remington percussion rifle with bayonet, .58 cal., 33” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stock with brass barrel bands, brass patchbox, brass butt plate trigger guard and stock end piece near muzzle. This gun is in overall very good condition showing approx. 97% original blue on barrel and approx. 80% muted case colors on the lock plate; a very good bore, crisp action, sharp markings and proofs, very good wood with scattered nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage; both barrel and lock are dated 1863; the bayonet is in overall good condition with “S” inspection mark on the blade and brass grip. A very presentable example of this Civil War workhorse with bayonet (no scabbard). Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
