The pistol has a DuLite finish on the slide and receiver, a blued barrel and brown plastic, checkered stocks. The receiver feed ramp is polished bright. The main spring housing is knurled, the narrow hammer has a knurled spur and the safety lock is checkered. The slide stop is serrated and the trigger is stamped with a knurled face. The let side of the slide is roll-stamped with the third style logo: "REMINGTON RAND INC./SYRACUSE,N.Y. U.S.A." in two equal lines. The right side of the frame is stamped with the Ordnance Copes escutcheon behind the grip. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY/N.O.967762" is roll-stamped behind the slide stop hole and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" is roll-stamped in front of it. The final inspection mark "FJA" is stamped on the left side of the receiver below the slide stop. "P" proofmarks are stamped on the left side of the receiver behind the magazine release and on the top of the slide ahead of the rear sight. The Keyes Fibre Co., stocks lack reinforcing rings around the screw holes. The inside of the stocks have strengthening ribs, mold numbers and the Keyes five-pointed star. The WWII production Springfield Armory barrel is blued and marked with a heat lot on the lower left side of the chamber and "S" and "P" on the left side of the lug. The magazine has a full blue finish and is stamped "S" (Scovill Mfg. Co,) on the upper floor plate lip.
