U.S. Remington-Rand Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Holster
Made in 1943, and later equipped with a Colt slide. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide marked with the two block/ two line address and patent markings, divided by the Rampant Colt, with "P" ahead of the rear sight and "858/ xxx" serial number around the firing pin. The right side of the frame is stamped with the Ordnance Corps cartouche behind the grips, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" around the stop hole, over the "NO." style serial number. The left side of the frame is stamped with Frank J. Atwood's inspector mark and "P" around the magazine release. Colt barrel, checkered stamped trigger, thin checkered hammer spur, checkered thumb safety and slide catch, serrated arched mainspring housing and late style Keyes Fibre grips. With a U.S. Warren Leather flap holster with tie-down strap

Condition: Very fine as assembled, with 95% of the arsenal parkerized finish, showing light handling marks and edge wear overall, scattered spotting and a dark brown patina in the protected areas. Grips are very fine, with a few light pressure dents. Holster is good, with scuffing. Mechanically very good.
