U.S. Regulation Marked Brass Bugles 1930-50s (2)
Featured in this lot are two, U.S. Regulation brass bugles circa 1930-50s. One was made by Rexcraft, a distributor of bugles for the Boy Scouts of America in the early 1920s while the other is only marked, "U.S. Regulation". Both bugles come with their mouth pieces, with the Rexcraft bugle's mouth piece able to be removed. The bugle marked "U.S. Regulation" has a fixed mouth piece and cannot be removed. The bugles show good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years, as well as light patinas on both. No obvious signs of damage are noted. Both are in working condition. The larger Rexcraft bugle measures 17 5/8" L x 4 1/4" W x 5 3/4" H, while the smaller "U.S. Regulation" marked bugle measures 16 1/4" L x 4 5/16" W x 5 7/8" H. They have a collective weight of 2 pounds and 6 ounces.
