This example was manufactured in early 1916 and is stamped on the barrel "S A/flaming bomb/12- 15" behind the front sight. The bolt has a straight handle with the "C6" steel lot number marked on the underside of the safety lug. The floor plate tang is stamped with "flaming bomb/N.R.A." to show it was sold through the DCM to NRA members. Mounted on a smooth walnut straight grip stock with grasping grooves, two reinforcing bolts, several faint cartouches on left wrist, a circled "P" proofmark on the underside of the wrist, a "P" proofmark on the underside of the wrist, and a smooth steel buttplate.

Very good plus, 30% original blue finish remains with some scattered minor scratches, high edge wear and some scattered freckling. The replacement refinished stock is good with a large 9 1/2 inch section near the muzzle reattached with glue. Mechanically fine.
