U.S. Postal History 1862//1865, Four Civil W
U.S. U.S. Postal History 1862//1865, Four Civil War Soldier's Letters with three from Union soldiers and one Confederate . The Confederate soldier letter is four pages long with the stamp removed and concerns loss of a child rather than the war. The Union letters include one on patriotic stationery in which, among other things, the writer states that he is "dissatisfied because they did not fight it out at one point". A second letter has much war content as written from a camp near Brandy Station, Virginia. The final letter concerns a three day march in which the writer has "seen the elephant" but no "pretty girls". Interesting reading, F-VF. Estimate US$100-150
