U.S. Navy Civil War pike/bayonet dated 1862, serial numbered 1373 with 25” long blade for Mississippi rifle and also is described as boarding pike for the Navy. The longest bayonet made for the U.S. military during the 19th century. The bayonet remains in good to very good condition showing some minor rust on spring and the pitting on the blade has been lightly cleaned and also shows some light rust. The scabbard has deteriorated and is missing but the original brass tip has been retained. Est.: $400-$800.
