U.S. Naval officer’s sword, Spanish-American war era by B. Pasquale of San Francisco Ca showing fancy etched blade and presentation hand engraved throat on scabbard. Inscribed “Presented to Lucien McNally as token of esteem by his shipmates of the U.S.S. Boston.” The blade is in very good to near fine condition showing most of its frosty etching showing some slight rust that may clean. The brass mounts are dark and brown and completely uncleaned and untouched. The grip is good, the scabbard is fair to good showing period repairs and leather repair to the drag, replacing its tip which was done during period of use. Completely untouched out of the attic and shows great hand-engraved anchor and rope at front of throat. The Boston was with Dewey’s fleet and participated in the Spanish American war and this sword should be further researched. From an estate. Inscription genuine. Est: $500 - $2,500
