U.S. Naval Cutlass circa 1760-1780, possibly Revolutionary War showing black enamel-type finish which is proper, some light to heavy pitting, original wood grip with associated ship repair document, hand written on paper sheet approx. 5” X 6”, dated 1766. The blade is approx. 27-1/2” in length and approx. 32” overall. A great piece of early American history. Est.: $1,500-$2,500.
