U.S. Model 1850 officer’s sword with original scabbard in good condition showing etched blade marked “Philadelphia”. The blade is in good condition showing some staining and normal aging but with most of the etching very visible. Thegrip is in good condition showing tightly wrapped sharkskin with just some minor edge wear and normal aging. The leather scabbard is good with small repairs and retains correct brass mounts and drag. A good example of the most used sword byUnion officers during the Civil War. Est.: $500-$1,000
