U.S. Model 1833 Artillery sword by N.P. Ames dated 1838 with original scabbard showing “MS” on tip. The blade is in very good plus condition showing most of the original arsenal bright finish with some scatteredlight to moderate erosion and pitting which is minor. Good markings with exceptional eagle and Ames stamp. The blade shows a “V.S.” inspection and the hilt shows 119 in small numerals on one branch of the guard.The brass grip is crisp; scabbard is very good plus with slight cracking, normal aging and a good seam. A strong 8 plus on 1-10 scale. Est.;$1,000.-$2,000.

Buyer pays actual costs of packing, materials, shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
