U.S. Model 1832 Foot Artillery sword with 19” blade marked “Ames Mfg Co., Chicopee, Mass” and “U.S., G.G.S., 1860”, with integral brass cross guard, scaled grip and eagle stamped on both sides of pommel; cross guard is inspector marked “JH”on one side and “WAT” on the other; in overall very good condition with dark patina on blade, scattered spots of erosion; accompanied by a black leather covered scabbard with brass throat and tip and buff leather hanger in overall very goodcondition; only approx. 200 with this rare date!!
