U.S. Model 1816 flintlock pistol by Simeon North of Middleton, Connecticut in .54 caliber smoothbore with 9 1/16” barrel and approximately 15 ¼” overall (Refer Flayderman 6A– 017). The pistol remains in its original flintlockconfiguration with original parts. The metal surfaces show some light cleaning and the lock shows a well-defined Eagle and S. North markings. The barrel shows a clear P over U.S. proof. The stock shows the outline of a cartouche andinitials that are only partially visible. There are some minor dings, mars, scratches and minor imperfections to the wood but at least good to very good overall. A hickory ramrod of the correct type with metal head is included and may be anoriginal. A good example of this model North that we would give a 7+ on a 1 to 10 scale. .
