U.S. Model 1816, .69 caliber musket by Springfield Armory dated 1832 in original flintlock configuration with type III variation (Refer Flayderman 9A-199). The musket shows a brown patina finish with scattered light to moderateerosion and surface pitting and is completely un-cleaned. The lock markings are slightly light but all visible. The lock retains all original parts and as previously stated is in its original flintlock configuration. The stock shows two goodcartouches, some small losses, dings, mars, scratches and weathering but is at least good. A period and correct style ramrod is included. Seldom found in original flintlock as most were converted. William A. Gary collection consigned by his estate. Est.: $1750-$3500
