U.S. Model 1808 contract Flintlock Musket by T.French, Canton (Ohio) dated 1811. Refer Flayderman 9A-132, 69 cal smooth bore measuring 59-1/2” overall, iron mounts with all features as standard on this issue. Thebreech shows U.S., V, and eagle proof. The left side of the stock shows an “A. B. Robinson” stamp beneath the outline of an inspector’s cartouche. The lock markings are good. The metal surfaces show light tomoderate pitting and erosion. The stock shows a large piece of wood screwed back in behind the hammer. The stock is otherwise good with normal wear, small losses. There is a stamping or numerals 33 at wrist with 1of the 2 numbers reversed in direction. Original bands, small parts and correct style ram rod. Good to very good overall.
