U.S. Model 1795 3rd type flintlock musket in .69 caliber smoothbore dated 1811 with 44” barrel, showing rounded iron flash pan and screw in sling swivels along with thick wrist. Refer Flayderman 9A – 009. The metal surfaces remain in very goodplus condition showing a nice brown patina on the barrel and lock with good sharp Eagle and Armory markings, along with crisp Eagle proofs and U.S. marking on the breech in of the barrel. The stock is good to very good with storage type scratches,dings, mars and small losses but generally at least very good at for its age. A correct style ramrod is included and the musket is in its original flintlock configuration with correct hammer, top jaw screw and parts. The butt plate is also dated 1811. A very nice specimen that may have been used in the war of 1812. William A. Gary collection consigned by his estate. Est.:$2500-$5000
