U.S. Mississippi percussion rifle by Robbins & Lawrence, barrel and lockplate dated 1850, .58 cal., 33” barrel, brown finish, brass patchbox, trigger guard, butt plate and barrel bands, leather sling, brass tippedsteel ramrod, removable bayonet lug, wood stock. This gun is in overall fine to excellent condition showing the majority of its brown finish to the barrel, traces of case color on lock plate and hammer, verygood bore, crisp action and markings, very good to fine stock with crisp inspector’s cartouches WAT and LM on left side of stock above trigger assembly, some scattered old mars and scratches from carry and storage,pleasing patina to wood and brass mounts; good leather sling; a really nice Mississippi rifle with removable bayonet lug.
