U.S. Military issue Hall Model 1819 breech-loading flintlock rifle, .52 cal., 33” barrel, brown finish, wood stock, breech marked “J. H. Hall, H. Ferry, U.S., 1838”. This rare gun is in overall excellent condition showing approx. 90% tobaccobrown finish to metal surfaces, crisp action, fine bore, excellent wood with scattered nicks, mars and scratches from storage and handling. Both sling swivels are present as is a metal cleaning rod. This is one of the better Hall flintlockrifles we have seen in recent years and would fit nicely in a museum or serious Martial Arms collector’s accumulation of early U.S. military ordinance. Est.: $6,000-$8,000.
