U.S. Mansfield & Lamb Model 1860 Cavalry Sword with Sheath and Belt Rig
Dual fuller blade, measuring 35 inches long with "U.S./ G.E.W./ 1865" on the right side and "MANSFIELD/ &/ LAMB/ FORESTALL RI" in an oval on the reverse. Brass hilt with 2-branch guard, wire wrapped leather grip and a helmet pommel. With a brown leather belt rig, featuring an unmarked flap holster, a brass belt buckle with silver accent, unmarked cartridge box and a set of belt hanging straps.

Condition: Good. 75% of the original nickel finish remains on the blade, with flaking, patches of brown steel patina and some discoloration and spotting. A fine aged patina is forming on the hilt, showing multiple dents and dings, and flaking of the leather. The belt rig is fair, with cracking and scuffing of the leather overall, the holster altered, restitched and missing the plug, and a dark patina on the brass.
