Lot of U.S. military dress uniform and field equipment, including: 1) U.S. officer's dress jacket. Both sides of collar with "U.S." and USAAF insignia pins. Left sleeve with USAAF patch. Left breast with navigator badge above Air Medal ribbon bar. Epaulettes with First Lieutenant pins. 2) U.S. OD officer's cap. Brown leather visor and chin strap with gold colored Great Seal of the United States. Leather sweatband is marked with size "7 1/4". Interior of hat exhibits a paper card that appears to read "2/Lt." above "Donald R. FinneProck". Some losses to stitching around forward edges of leather sweatband. 3) U.S. gray dress pants. Interior is handwritten with what appears to read "M. LUCIANI/ 1503/ 3.a.208715". 4) bag containing a pair of U.S. brown leather gaiters, a 1913 dated enlistment record, as well as a U.S. Engineer Department map ruler. 5) small bag containing a brown leather belt with a brass "P.M.C." belt buckle, and a brass "U.S." belt buckle. 6) Khaki canvas web belt fitted with a "BOYT/ 45" brown leather Model of 1916 holster, green canvas medical pouch, canvas compass pouch, as well as canteen in a green canvas carrier. 7) Imperial Japanese brown leather map case. Interior of closure flap exhibits 2 lines of Kanji characters in black ink. Body exhibits a handwritten "PFC. MINOR, CL.L. JR." in black ink beneath the closure flap. Complete with khaki canvas shoulder strap. CONDITION: uniform items are good, with light to mild wear. Leather items remain malleable, showing varying degrees of wear. Japanese map case shows age related cracking and crazing with a few tears. (02-24124/MLW). NON-GUN. $300-500.
