U.S. M1 Carbine, .30 caliber, by Saginaw, barrel marked “Buffalo Arms”, serial #1873224. Made at Grand Rapids, Michigan, Pedersen plant. All WWII issue, showing no bayonet lug, flip up sight, early forwardsling swivel. Includes stenciled WWII period sling, ID “A. Scott” (stencils were and are a habit of the Marine Corps). The carbine shows a correct blued bolt and most of its original parkerized finish. Stock is verygood plus with sharp ordinance wheel and “SG” cartouche on right center, just a few minor mars and dings, sharp markings, crisp overall, fine bore. A high grade collector’s carbine.
