U.S.M.C. issue military fighting knife by Camillus Cutlery Co., Camillus, NY with etched blade showing USMC; cast handle, original leather scabbard with tie down and metal reinforcements; along with web belt and first aid pouch. The knife is in fine original condition with just slight oxidation to the grip, minor freckling on blade, scabbard is very good +; web belt also very good + and shows USMC marking and Carlislefirst aid packet in pouch; with documentation as being carried by US Marine Corps. 1st Lt. Joseph Johnson, KIA 9 April, 1944, signed by Captain Robert Morse, Captain, USMC, retired. One of the rarest WWII fightingknives as carried by marine raiders. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
