Very good. The brass hilt has mellow patina with traces of the original silver-plated finish on the inside of the counter-guard. The pearl grips are slightly yellowed with age but have no chips or cracks. The blade has about 50% of the niter blue and gold-washed finish with scattered age discoloration and several patches of dark rust near the tip. The scabbard has several shallow and barely noticeable dents but has an attractive age patina and is in very good overall condition.
