Manufactured in 1943, this pistol later passed through the Springfield Armory, where it was armorer upgraded for use in the national pistol matches. Serrated Patridge blade front sight with a Kensight adjustable rear sight, with the one line Colt address on the right side of the slide, "NM7791435" on the left, "NM 7791414" on the chamber of the blue barrel, and "7267718/N M" on the front of the barrel bushing. The "FJA" and "P" inspection marks are present on the left side of the frame and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" over the serial number on the right, with "SA" ahead of the stop hole, and "NM" on the right of the trigger guard. Checkered grips, with an adjustable aluminum trigger, checkered wide hammer and slide stop, serrated thumb safety, long grip safety, checkered arched mainspring housing, and a checkered front strap. With a reproduction brown cardboard box, hand numbered to gun and stamped with Ithaca nomenclature.

Condition: Very fine as arsenal refurbished/rebuilt to NM specifications, with 95% of the parkerization, showing areas of brown patina, spotting and handling marks overall. A square patch of discoloration is present on the left side of the slide. Grips are very fine, with a few light dings. Mechanically excellent.
